This spaghetti has gone through more changes in the 20+ years I have been making it than I can count! Spaghetti was one of the first meals I made for my husband. He often jokes it's why he married me, hahaha! Growing up, when my mom made spaghetti, she would refer to it as Italian Spaghetti, not to confuse it with noodles and sauce (which I will be making a post about this too!) Over the years, I took my mom's basic recipe and made it mine. I love the addition of fresh basil and using sweet Italian sausage.

Our Favorite Spaghetti is great the next day and it freezes very well too! Although, it doesn't' last long enough in my house to be able to freeze it. You can make this a low carb meal and serve it over spaghetti squash. This makes a great dunking sauce for some delicious cheesy garlic bread or Italian Dunkers for you 80s & 90s babies 🙂 Give a try and let me know what you think!
